The Rev. Dr. Tony Metze
Pastor Metze earned a B.A. at Wofford College, Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Pastor Metze was ordained in 1985 into the gospel ministry of the Lutheran Church. He and his wife Christina were married in 1981. They have three children - Melanie, Mark and Christopher. Pastor Metze enjoys time with his grandaughterKatharine! Pastor Metze enjoys ministry in all of its expressions, but has a passion for preaching the Word of God. He enjoys various hobbies including, cycling, playing guitar, backpacking and performing magical entertainment and illusions. He is the author of the book, “Jesus - Forty Days with the Transforming Power of the Messiah.”
Andrew is a 2002 graduate with his M.A. in Religion from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He also holds an MSW from Florida State University, and spent ten years as a social worker serving children, youth and families. Andrew’s passion is studying, teaching, and sharing the beauty and richness of God’s Word so that it can be appreciated and understood by anyone, regardless of their church background. He is also committed to empowering people of all ages to walk more deeply and intentionally in their Christian discipleship and to helping families pass on the faith to their children. Andrew enjoys outdoor activities, reading, music, travelling, and spending time with his wife, Diana, and their son, Zachary.

Alice Richardson is a life-long member of St. Paul’s. She is a graduate of Newberry College, Class of 1967, and has been the Administrative Assistant at St. Paul’s for 26 years and the Church Cook for 20 years. Alice and Clarence Richardson have been married 48 years and have three grown children (Wendi, Spence and Paul) with spouses (Jeff Butler, Tiffany and Tricia) and 5 grandchildren (Chandler, Savannah, Christopher, Cole and Presli). She is particularly interested in the history of St. Paul’s and enjoys plundering through the five Parish Registers. Her grandmother joined St. Paul’s in 1929 with her six children who added 12 grandchildren, 24 greats, 2 more generations of children with lots of spouses added - totaling over 90 who have been part of this church family over the years.
